Joining the jubilant atmosphere of the national parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the islands of Truong Sa archipelago, DK1 platform, ships on duty at sea and naval units organized many meaningful activities.
In the middle of the vast ocean, where it seems there are only waves, wind and harsh sunlight, Da Tay A Island appears green in the middle of the ocean. That green color is not only the color of the leaves of the poplar and banyan trees, or the shade of the fruit trees, but also the green color of faith, of vitality, of the will of the people who are day and night guarding and building the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.
On April 10, 1963, the Lao Cai Renovation Newspaper officially published its first issue, marking the birth of today's Lao Cai Newspaper. Over the past 62 years of establishment, Lao Cai Newspaper has continuously developed, contributing positively to the overall development of the province.
As soon as we arrived at Truong Sa - the sacred flesh and blood of the Fatherland, we visited the Traditional House on the island. Standing before the words of the heroic martyr - Lieutenant Tran Van Phuong, who sacrificed himself on Gac Ma island in the event on March 14, 1988: "I would rather sacrifice than lose the island. Let my blood color the traditional flag of the Navy", we could not help but be moved with pride.
In recent times, the militia and self-defense forces in the province have focused on training and combat readiness, contributing to the successful implementation of local military and defense tasks, while actively participating in political tasks assigned by the Party Committee and the government. Activities in the "March Border Month" program in 2025 were organized by the Youth Union of Trinh Tuong Border Guard Station to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025), the 66th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2025) and the 36th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2025).
Ta Gia Khau Border Guard Station is stationed in Ta Gia Khau Commune, Muong Khuong District. The station is assigned to manage the two most impoverished border communes of the province, Ta Gia Khau and Din Chin. Over the years, officers and soldiers of Ta Gia Khau Border Guard Station have not only excellently fulfilled their tasks of managing, protecting territorial sovereignty, maintaining security and order in the area, but also actively helped and cared for the people's lives, becoming a solid support in the hearts of the people here.
