Construction of 6 schools in border communes started
On November 29, at Pha Long commune, the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the People's Committees of Pha Long, Trinh Tuong, and Y Ty communes to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for 6 schools in 3 border communes.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were delegates: Major General Vu Quoc An - Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard; Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors, the Provincial Border Guard Command, communes and local people.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 2379 dated October 13, 2025 of the Political Department, Border Guard on supporting the construction of "Boarding schools for the people" and disadvantaged schools in border areas, the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the Party Committees and authorities of Y Ty, Trinh Tuong and Pha Long communes to conduct surveys of disadvantaged and degraded schools to propose construction.
The location chosen to build the school is convenient for students in the area to go to class, ensuring space, safety and conformity with the commune's educational planning.
After selection and survey, the Provincial Border Guard Command proposed that the Border Guard Command support the construction of 6 schools, namely: Khu Chu Lin School, A Lu Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Y Ty Commune; Cung Lung School, Ta Gia Khau Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Pha Long Commune; Xa Khai Tung Kindergarten, Ta Ngai Cho Kindergarten, Pha Long Commune; Sin Chai Kindergarten, Pha Long Commune; Su Ma Tung Kindergarten, Ta Ngai Cho Kindergarten, Pha Long Commune; Seo Phin Than Kindergarten, Coc My Kindergarten, Trinh Tuong Commune.
The projects have a total construction cost of over 13.7 billion VND; construction time from November 2025 to the end of May 2026.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Major General Vu Quoc An - Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard emphasized: The construction, repair and provision of facilities for schools is a concrete and practical work, with profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love" and "helping each other" of the whole country towards the Fatherland's border. Building new schools and improving facilities and educational equipment will create a better and safer teaching and learning environment, ensuring living and learning conditions for students.
He requested the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command to continue to closely coordinate with all levels, sectors and forces to ensure the project is built on schedule, effectively and efficiently; promptly report to the Border Guard Command any difficulties that arise for direction and resolution.

Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged the efforts and participation of functional agencies, Party committees and local authorities in implementing the construction of schools in border areas.
He affirmed: The schools built are not only educational works, but also works of faith and national solidarity, demonstrating steadfast will, contributing to building a strong border and a prosperous people.
