A notable new point is that the 1st Lao Cai Provincial Party Congress was organized in the form of a digital congress, strongly applying information technology and artificial intelligence in the entire process of operation, management and work; divided into 6 groups to discuss in depth the congress documents, especially 17 key projects.

Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong - Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council informed the contents at the preparatory session.

At the preparatory session, the congress discussed and voted with 100% of delegates unanimously electing the Congress Executive Presidium consisting of 17 delegates; the Secretariat consisting of 2 delegates; and the Delegate Qualification Examination Committee consisting of 5 delegates.

The congress also discussed and approved the working program, regulations and rules of the congress; guided the activities of delegates, deployed some contents for the official session and divided into discussion groups.

According to the program, the 1st Congress of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee takes place in 3 days (September 28 - September 30, 2025).

Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented the draft Regulations of the congress.

Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented the draft Working Regulations of the congress; announced the division into discussion groups and the location of the group discussion.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee spoke and suggested some discussion contents.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development", the 1st Congress of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee will summarize the implementation of the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term on the basis of the content of the Resolution of the Congress of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee before the merger; determine the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term, determined to successfully implement the goal of "Building a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the strength of great national unity; creating a breakthrough in building Lao Cai province into a growth pole, a center for international economic trade connections, developing in a green, harmonious, unique and happy direction".

At the same time, some main and specific tasks and solutions were proposed, such as: promoting the strength of national solidarity, improving the quality of supervision and social criticism, participating in building a strong Party and government; building smart border gates, increasing import and export turnover, contributing to building Lao Cai into an international economic trade center; some tasks and solutions to build Lao Cai into a tourism center of the whole country with unique, high-quality products, community tourism, cultural and spiritual tourism; innovating the work of building and enforcing laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era; Ensuring energy security to meet the country's development requirements and international commitments... determined to build Lao Cai province into a growth pole, a center for international economic trade connections, developing in the direction of "green, harmony, identity, happiness".
