This is the first time the Con Festival has been held. After the ceremony, reenacting the Then master's ritual of praying for luck and peace, there is the festival with two exciting activities: Con throwing competition and Con making competition.

There are also 13 teams participating in the throwing competition, including 5 teams from communes and schools in Bao Yen district (Yen Son, Tan Tien, Tan Duong, Vinh Yen, Bao Yen High School No. 3), 7 teams from Nghia Do commune and 1 team from Muong Bo commune, Sa Pa town; each team has 6 people. Within 5 minutes, the teams throw the cone onto the pole to be scored according to the criteria of the Organizing Committee.

For the first time, Phung A Ngoan and his team members from Muong Bo commune, Sa Pa town participated in the Con throwing competition at the Con festival in Nghia Do commune, Bao Yen district. Mr. Ngoan said: The Tay people in Muong Bo also have the tradition of making Con and often participate in the festival of going to the fields at the beginning of the year. We are very happy to come here to exchange and compete in the Con throwing competition with the Tay people in Nghia Do. I hope this festival will be promoted to many places and the Tay community in Muong Bo (Sa Pa).

The fruit making contest was very exciting.

In the shuttlecock making competition, there were 8 teams from communes of Bao Yen district, each team had 6 people. In 60 minutes, the teams made traditional shuttlecocks according to the customs of the Tay people in Nghia Do, with the scoring criteria being beautiful shuttlecocks, correct method and completion of at least 3 shuttlecocks.

The finished products were then displayed at the house of the Monuments Management and Tourism Development Board of Bao Yen district to introduce and promote unique cultural features to visitors from near and far.

At the end of the festival, for the ball throwing competition, the team from Tham Ma village won first prize; second prize went to the team from Khuay Ri village; third prize went to the team from Pom Chen village, Nghia Do commune. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 consolation prizes to the teams with good results.

In the shuttlecock making competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the team from Tan Duong commune; the second prize to the team from Bao Ha commune; and the third prize to the team from Nghia Do commune. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 5 consolation prizes to the remaining teams.

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of Bao Yen District People's Committee - Head of the Organizing Committee of the 3rd "Golden Color by the Nam Luong River" Folk Culture Festival in 2025, this is the first year the locality organizes the Con Fruit Festival with the hope of creating a new tourism product, both to contribute to attracting tourists and creating a highlight for the "Golden Color by the Nam Luong River" Folk Culture Festival in 2025, while contributing to preserving and conserving the traditional culture of the people.
