Honoring 20 typical rural industrial products at provincial level in 2024

On the afternoon of October 22, the Provincial People's Committee held a closing ceremony for voting of typical rural industrial products of Lao Cai province in 2024.

Attending the event were leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Planning and Investment of the province, and representatives of production establishments with products recognized as typical rural industrial products of Lao Cai province in 2024.

In 2024, the whole province has 42 products from 25 production establishments participating in the vote for typical rural industrial products according to Plan 160/KH-UBND dated March 13, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee. The products participating in the vote are divided into 2 groups: Handicraft products (3 products); agricultural, forestry, fishery and food processing products (39 products). Among which, notable products include: Detox Chocolate, Sa Pa vine tea, Mist tea, Sa Xeng plum wine, VM apricot wine, Sa Pa smoked salmon, Sa Pa salmon stewed in dry, Khau nhuc, Dried pork with beef flavor, dried Hoang Sin Co, Hung Hien ginseng vermicelli, Happiness wooden chopsticks, Rock mountain honey, etc.

As a result, the Selection Council selected 20 products from 9 production facilities to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for decision to recognize typical rural industrial products of Lao Cai province in 2024.
According to the evaluation of the Appraisal Council, the selection of rural industrial products meets the criteria of objectivity, honesty, and high responsibility. Localities have actively implemented the selection, attracting many enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities to participate.
