Vo Lao women keep traditional jobs

Besides the busy time of working in the fields, for nearly 30 years until now, the group of women in Chieng 4 village, Vo Lao commune (Van Ban) have gathered together to sew and embroider brocade products and traditional costumes of the Tay ethnic group. Diverse indigo shirts and brocade products not only serve the needs of the family, but have become commodities for many years, helping women improve their income.

The group consists of 5 members who regularly work. During leisure time, their work will start from early morning to late evening

5 members have worked together for many years, so they are very proficient in all stages of sewing and weaving products

Every working day not only helps women keep their traditional jobs, brings income but also brings joy in their life.

Brocade products such as seat cushions, pillows, blankets ... are meticulously detailed by them at every stage.

 

In recent years, they have had the support of sewing machines in some stages to finish the product faster.
