Stop broadcasting analog terrestrial television in Lao Cai from 0:00 on December 28, 2020

The Steering Committee of the Vietnam Television Digitalization Project has agreed on the time to stop broadcasting analog terrestrial television with the main broadcasting station and replay station in 15 provinces of Group IV, including Lao Cai province, from 00:00. December 28, 2020.

Under the scheme, Lao Cai is in group 4, along with 14 provinces and cities: Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Lang Son, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Hoa Binh, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong will stop broadcasting analogue television. terrestrial for complete conversion to digital terrestrial television.

In order to stop the analogue terrestrial broadcasting and completely convert to digital terrestrial television according to the schedule, Lao Cai province has deployed key groups of tasks, which are: Implement propaganda, awareness raising in the society and active participation of the people; To survey and make statistics on the number of poor and near-poor households that are eligible for digital television receiver support; Survey the current situation of broadcast and reception, determine the affected area; preparing conditions and coordinating with the Steering Committee of the project to support the receiver for poor and near poor households; Check and install the receiver equipment, instructions on how to use it; ...

The project has a great influence on the people of the whole province, especially poor households, near-poor households, policy families, people in mountainous and rural areas; affect the propaganda of the Party and State. Therefore, Lao Cai province determines the implementation principles in the implementation process, which are: Ensuring not to interrupt the transmission and broadcast of TV program channels, especially television program channels serving essential political and propaganda tasks. Maintain the broadcasting of Lao Cai television program channel on satellite and analog terrestrial television in order to serve the people in the province and the whole country in the process of deploying and installing digital terrestrial television. Provide timely and right support to the right poor and near poor households in the transition process according to the Prime Minister's regulations.
